Account and Data Deletion

Mate Football users can request deletion of their account and associated personal data, or request deletion of specific personal data without deleting the account.

How to request deletion

  1. Send an email to [email protected] from the email address connected to your Mate Football account.
  2. Include whether you want your full account deleted or only specific personal data deleted.
  3. We may ask you to confirm account ownership before completing the request.
  4. We will respond within 30 days and complete eligible deletion requests as required by applicable data protection law.

What to include

  • Your Mate Football account email address.
  • A clear request, such as "delete my Mate Football account" or "delete my profile photo".
  • Any extra context needed to identify the data, such as booking, message, or profile details.

What is deleted or kept

When a full account deletion request is completed, we delete or anonymize personal data associated with your account, including profile details, account preferences, training activity, app activity, messages where deletion is legally and technically possible, and authentication records that we control.

Some records may be kept where required by law or legitimate business obligations, including payment, invoice, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute, and security records. These retained records are kept only for the period required by applicable law or our privacy policy.
